Welcome to Vego! So how did we start? What is our story??
With the help of lockdown, I decided that I finally had time to try and get myself healthy and become plant based, something I had been trying, but failing to do for about 4 years.
I created plant based meals for the family based on my favourites, but added meat as a side should other members of the family want it. Friends and family tried the food and loved it and before I knew it, we had a plant based kitchen for ready meals, VEGO.
All meals are prepared fresh within 24hrs of order and can also be customised to a degree. I work with nutritionists to support diets, diabetics (our food has no added preservatives, chemicals, sugar, excess salt or excess oil) and just those who want a meat free Monday. I am also currently studying my Sports Nutrition Diploma so that I can deliver a more detailed offering.
We are on UberEats with a burger and street food based menu, try the Mexican Burger, it is our most popular!
We provide a fresh and seasonal grocery service where we buy from a local farm for dairy items, a local aquaponics producer for our greens and local grocers and farms for the rest of our fruit and vegetables.
In the near future we will also be able to supply dry goods so that your pantry can be stocked in one go. Online or at the shop.
I have to admit that lockdown has allowed me to do something that I am passionate about and am really hoping that I can make this new career!!! What an adventure!!
